Advantages:
There are many jobs that you can branch off into (e.g. Construction, energy, environmental protection, disaster detection and more.) Petroleum geologist, someone who specializes in the branch of economic geology that deals with the occurrence and exploitation of oil and gas fields, are the highest paid. Disadvantages:
Some disadvantages to this job include field work and travel. They must go where the rocks, plants or any other substance are located. Those areas are often remote and can be dangerous. You need to be fit to hike and strong to carry equipment. This career often involves traveling across the country and to parts of the world to visit land formations to study the earth first hand. |
